Teaching Kids About Electronics
Hack Sioux Falls takes kids on a journey that teaches them about electronics, hardware, software, soldering, functional design, user design, and creative thinking. The official challenge will be announced in about a week, but it will be a lot of fun to build and has plenty of room for kids to show off their creativity.
Watch this video, it explains everything you need to know about Hack Sioux Falls.
During this six-week challenge, we will host at two workshops (including a soldering project) that will teach the fundamentals necessary to complete the challenge.
In addition to workshops, we will host working sessions on Saturdays allowing the kids time to work on their projects while getting help from our mentors. Kids can work on their projects in teams or by themselves. All of the supplies will be provided and yours to keep.
Our last few Hack Sioux Falls projects were a huge hit, and we’re excited to be hosting another challenge. This blog post is about the projects from our last Hack Sioux Falls, complete with videos by the kids explaining their builds. (very funny)
